Description

This module examines the factors underlying South Korea's extraordinary economic growth, and analyses the origins and aftermath of the economic 1997 crisis. Lectures and seminars focus in particular on South Korea's economic development, the relationship between government and big business, the characteristics of Korean management, the process of post-crisis reform, and the Korean experience of globalisation.
